Unbelievable..I'm just blown away by the hassle free design. It's pricey yes, but you get what you pay for. Charges, connects, and does it while looking less and eye sore than my old ones. Not too big either, remains laptop bag portable.Just another quality Anker product. Good job

It does what it's supposed to do.
I bought this to clean my desk set up and to be able to allow my macbook air to work on multiple monitors via display link. The setup was easy and I love the display and been able to access all functionality through the dial on the side. Lots of ports,3 usb c ports on the front and i would have liked a different one but theres plenty on the back. I trust Anker products, used many of their power banks, so the performance cooling is as good as I expected. Its pricey but for me its value for money, teh build quality feels premium and I've had no issues , its used everyday without missing a beat.
Great stuff. It gets the job done, it made my workspace tidier and more “user-friendly”. Bare in mind, it’s mostly for external monitors and charge devices. Not for connections like mouse keyboard ect. You can connect a few, but your options are limited. It’s enough for me so I’m good, but if you wanna connect loads of external things to it, then check the amount of ports.
Amazing dock! Build quality is very high, has some great weight to it. The display is a nice addition. I have it connected to 3 1440p monitors. It can display up to 240hz on the DP connected display and up to 144Hz through HDMI. One of my monitors does lose connection periodically when connected at higher than 60hz, but i suspect this is because it is running through a HDMI audio extractor. I switch it between my M2 Mac Mini and a Lenovo Snapdragon Laptop. One thing to note, if you're passing audio through the dock, it will send it to all three monitors. Which can be a positive or a negative depending on your requirements. I have a Logitech Bolt receiver in the back and that seems to work great with both keyboard and mouse. The It is very well built and at £300 the quality is all there. It's easy to use, once you have downloaded the drivers. Work's well on both Mac and Windows. I do wish that with these docks the host port would be on the front for easy access, since having it on the back and the shortness of any high quality compatible cables means plugging it in the back just makes it that much shorter. Not a deal breaker but just a minor annoyance, especially if you want to use it with multiple devices. It has all the ports i need. For me just the display ports and the USB port.
Needed to upgrade my dock after buying a Samsung odyssey g9 display. - Power supply/Port capacity: Great. I'm able to charge my Mac(s), iPhone, keyboard, mouse (basically whatever is attached) all at the same time. Convenient number of ports. My additional webcam is plugged into the dock as works fine. Sometimes lags, but can't say it's because of the dock (may be due to the camera's software) - Size: Not too large. Looks great on my desktop. - Sound quality: Only experience I have is when plugging headphones into the dock, which works great. Otherwise sound usually comes out of devices. - Value for money: This is the most expensive dock I've ever purchased, however, I was looking for longevity to ensure it'll continue to work when I upgrade devices. For this, I'll say it definitely is value for money.
Great product
This product was sent to me for review as part of the program. The following reflects my real-world experience using it. I requested it because I have been using a much more basic version of an Anker dock, but this wasn't really meeting my needs for charging my laptop and other devices. I have various peripherals I like to use with the PC, and some other devices I want to keep charged and handy nearby, like my portable gaming console. The Prime seemed like a neat, all-in-one solution. It has an excellent build quality and sits sturdily on my desk, without taking up too much space, thanks to it's relatively compact size. The port labelling around the device is useful, and would make it easy for a beginner to get to grips with. All controls are operated using a single side-mounted scroll wheel that moves smoothly and provides a nice, clicky feedback when pressed. The setup is relatively straightforward and can be done with or without the companion PC app. I had no issues connecting my USB-C-compatible HP Envy X360, external monitor, wireless mouse, and gaming controller to it; all of them worked as expected. One slight niggle for me here was the availability of USB-C ports - my external monitor supports USB-C power over display; however, the ports on the front of the dock do not support display output. A back USB-C port with power over display would have been ideal, and reduced my cable clutter. Once my monitor had been properly connected, there was no noticeable lag, and I was able to use it in both duplicated and extended modes. Although I felt the built-in SD card and micro SD card readers were useful, they are limited in read/write speed. I often have to transfer many high-quality RAW images, so this would not be practical. Thankfully, the plethora of USB 3.0 ports available means I can at least use an additional reader without sacrificing space on my laptop's ports. Charging performance is excellent; my laptop charges much faster than it did with the smaller dock, and my portable console has stayed well topped up. The three front USB-C ports are versatile and have worked with most devices I've tried connecting to them. The display provides valuable information on charging levels and offers some nice customisation, such as the ability to choose a screensaver. I would have liked to see an option to have the screen turn off automatically - it can be turned off by holding the button down, or not choosing a screensaver, but this relies on the user remembering to switch it off, and it's another light that might cause a distraction at night. In summary, it is a good value item and almost perfect for my needs - a great 'work and play' hub.
Very easy with minimum settings on my MAQ air M3 laptop. With to additional monitors which support different windows opened. Every thing worked for as I wanted me therefore am very pleased. I would recommend it.
I've tried various type of different dock station, but his is the best by far. Really easy to set up. I have 49" Samsung G9 Oled. It works perfectly. It looks great and suits on the top of desk very good. I used it for several hours continuously, but never heard of a single min of over running fan. So heat level is always perfect. There are plenty of ports on the back and in front. My laptop needs 140w. And it's capable to do it 👍🏻
Great quality build and shows charge %. Slightly heavy but love the attached cables and quick charge capacity. Purchased a separate Anker zipped sturdy holder to house it for home and away use.
Best product
Brilliant piece of kit, enabled my 2020 M1 MacBook Pro to display two screens plus the laptop screen. Saved me a fortune in not having to replace the Mac with an up to date one!
Wow!! This has made such a difference to my workflow. Import times are massively quicker, even on a fully spec'd mac mini. Being a wedding photographer primarily, I'm usually importing 3000 to 9000 uimages across 2 to 4 cards depending on whether I had a 2nd tog with me or not, so over a season, the time savings are huge. Good quality. A must have for anyone with similar needs.
Great product. I am not using it for its screen capabilities but as a USBC charger and ethernet hub. Love the display too
Don't mistake the Anker Prime Dock for normal docking station. The price maybe high but few offer the level features or quality of Ankers offering. The dock ships in a branded illustrated box. Inside there isn't a great deal. Consisting of the dock itself, a USB-C cable, a mains cable and some documentation. The dock feels good quality with a reasonable amount of weight to it. Unlike many others it features a display. Which itself can be toggled using a control on the side, and even function as a clock. In terms of connectivity it can support 3 displays. A display port, and 2 HDMI's. I would have liked another display port. In addition there are 3 USB-C ports, an UpStream USB-C port, 3 USB A's, an audio out, card readers and an ethernet port. It even has it's own cooling fan. You will need to make sure that your hardware supports display link and your drivers are up to date. With up to 8k on a single display and 4k two additional displays with support for high refresh rates, it is a real power house. However I have nothing quite that wild. It coped find with my mix of 1440p and 1080P displays at higher. Usefully there is also software/APP control. Allowing you to tweak and monitor settings. There is no doubt this is a cut above your average dock and is targeted at users that need multiple high res displays. Most people won't need to spend this sort of money for their needs but if you are one of those users then this is worth checking out.
Great device if you wish to have more than one large screen on your non Pro macbook's like the M1/M2 Mac Air. Setup is quite easy and the instructions are easy to follow. Performance is great with the USB C ports on the front. Loads of flexibly with ports on front and back of the device. Granted its expensive but DisplayLink hardware is but as this is an Anker product you know what your getting and its a seems to be a solid item.
So first off, yes it does what it says on the tin, you can connect two monitors via HDMI, and another via Display Port if you wish, my setup is with 2 x 4k monitors, which work laptops can never power so was stuck with laptop screen and using just one of my 4k monitors, this docking station is pure magic and once you install the drivers, everything just works neatly as you would expect with Anker. Tells you how many watts your pulling through any of your ports, easy to setup and use, great build quality, I have no doubt this will last me years.
I had a problem, but the customer service was brilliant.
I livestream from laptop, and knowing this item takes a lot of work off of the laptop is great, and gives me more than enough ports for all my streamdecks/keyboards/mouse, as well as allowing me additional monitors Would recommend
Great dock. Attached a Cabble Matters USB C switch acting as KVM to manage two computers, a windows laptop and M1 MacBook Pro. The Anker has all peripherals and a 5k monitor attached while charging each laptop when active. I just switch with a button on the remote of the usb switch and everything is tucked away. The unit is also compact to go in backpack for travels. Only gripe is that the audio jack is in the front and using usb c to audio makes a lot of noise.
On the surface, this is definitely expensive when you think of a docking station, but in terms of quality and functionality, it is well worth the price. 140W of charging which I have never seen before and I don't know of any laptop that even needs that amount and you have a full suite of every port you would ever need, including support for an 8K display which again I've never seen before. This is a hub which is first of it's kind. At the end of the day, all I need to do is connect a single USB-C into my laptop and everything is ready. Could not live without this now.
I was skeptical about the combined USB/carry strap, but it works! Charges fast and useful display. Usual Anker quality. Recommended.
