Not Good

Cameras have good quality visuals but motion sensor is very poor, erratic on recording movement, not reliable enough

Work well.

Cameras and HB work well, the setup is fairly straightforward. One of cameras kept losing communication, although Wi-Fi levels looked ok (the default is a Wi-Fi connection to the HB) but this was easily fixed by adding a Wi-Fi connection to the router as well, in the Settings/WiFi section in the app. Images are pretty good in general, night vision is good but infra-red illumination is short range, although a white 'floodlight' LED is also available, bear in mind the cameras run on an internal battery.
The app is ok, but has annoyances and could be improved, as I'm sure it will be over time. Note, no Windows app.
The cameras are neat and unobtrusive, which was one of the reasons I chose these. I have one set up in the garden as a wildlife cam about 25M from the HB and it has strong signal. Battery life seems excellent so far.
As for security; well, they are easily removable, so have obvious limitations!

fantastic kit, can't fault it

After setting up the eufy Security eufyCam C35 kit around my home, it quickly proved to be a reliable and surprisingly enjoyable bit of tech. Installation was simple, and the magnetic mounts make it easy to adjust whenever I fancy checking what’s happening around the garden or who’s been visiting the bird feeder at night. The picture quality is excellent, with sharp detail and rich colour even in the dark, and the facial recognition feature has been far more accurate than expected. Local storage keeps things private and free from ongoing fees, while the sturdy build has handled rain, frost and the occasional football with no trouble at all. I particularly like knowing I can check on deliveries or the pets from anywhere, and it has genuinely made me feel more at ease when away from home

Great portable camera but..

I recently placed an order for the Security eufyCam C35 4-Cam kit, which includes four versatile wireless security cameras designed for both outdoor and indoor surveillance applications. These cameras are equipped with a magnetic mount, making installation straightforward, whether on walls, ceilings, or other surfaces. The cameras feature advanced color night vision, allowing for clear footage even in low-light or no-light conditions, which greatly enhances their effectiveness for around-the-clock security monitoring. One of the advantages of this kit is that it offers subscription-free on-device storage, meaning that all recorded footage is stored locally within the camera itself or on an included or compatible storage device, eliminating ongoing subscription costs often associated with cloud storage services. Additionally, these cameras have an IP67 rating, indicating they are resistant to dust and water ingress, making them suitable for outdoor environments and harsh weather conditions. They also support solar panels, which can be purchased separately, providing an eco-friendly and cost-effective way to keep the cameras charged, reducing dependence on battery recharging or wired power sources. The cameras come in a sleek white finish, which blends well with modern home exteriors, and they feature an great zoom capability, allowing me to focus on specific areas or details within the surveillance footage for better clarity and identification. In terms of build quality, the cameras are portable and durable, designed to withstand outdoor conditions, and their installation process is notably user-friendly, requiring minimal technical expertise. The connectivity setup is also simple, with straightforward pairing and network integration, ensuring that users can quickly get their security system up and running. However, despite these positive features, there are some limitations to consider. The overall functionality can be somewhat average, with certain operations experiencing minor delays, such as during playback, recording, or live viewing, which may affect the immediacy of response in critical situations. Additionally, the battery life requires frequent recharging, as the cameras tend to drain power relatively quickly, especially with high usage or in colder temperatures, necessitating regular maintenance. Motion detection performance can also vary depending on multiple factors, including the quality of the internet connection and the precise positioning of each camera. Proper placement and stable network conditions are essential to maximize the accuracy and reliability of motion alerts and recordings. In summary, while the eufyCam C35 4-Cam kit offers excellent camera quality, ease of installation, and useful features like color night vision, IP67 weather resistance, and support for solar power, potential users should be aware of the occasional delays in functionality, battery recharging needs, and variability in motion detection performance, which may require careful setup and ongoing maintenance to optimise its effectiveness. Thank you for taking time to read my review. I hope you find it helpful.

Great piece of kit

I got the C35 4-Cam Kit and it’s honestly been perfect so far. The setup was quick, the cameras paired easily with the HomeBase and the app walks you through everything step by step. The image quality is great, clear in daylight and surprisingly sharp at night with the colour night vision. I love that there’s no subscription needed; everything saves locally, which feels much more secure. The magnetic mounts make installation super easy, though I used the screw mounts for the lower ones to be safe. The battery life’s decent so far, and it’s handy that it supports solar panels too. The app notifications come through fast and the motion detections' accurate enough, just the odd false alert from random cats. It’s solidly built, weatherproof, and hasn’t dropped connection once. For the price, it’s a great all-round security setup — simple, smart, and no faff with ongoing fees.

Easy to setup and reliable security with smart features

This is a well-made security cam system for a home setup. It is apt for a newbie or someone using this kind of system for the first time. Setting up this camera system was surprisingly straightforward. The multiple mounting options, magnets, screws, or just placing it on a shelf, made installation flexible for both indoor and outdoor use. I liked that I didn’t need to drill holes unless I wanted to. The connection process through the eufy app went smoothly as I had other devices from Eufy in past and was familiar with the app. The video quality during the day is very clear, and the colour night vision handy, being able to see details without the harsh glare of spotlights makes reviewing footage more natural. I also liked that it doesn’t rely on a monthly subscription. The local storage option is helpful to know that the footage stays private and accessible. The AI detection is fairly accurate. Cross-camera tracking is a thoughtful feature, especially for keeping tabs on movement across different zones of my property. The magnetic mount is convenient but feels a little less secure outdoors in very windy conditions, so I ended up using screws for added stability. The AI detection, although useful, can still send the occasional false alert, particularly when small animals move in shaded areas. Since the microSD card isn’t included, there’s an extra purchase to make before fully using the local storage feature.Overall, this camera system offers a balanced mix of convenience, smart functionality, and privacy-focused design. It feels well-suited for someone who wants reliable home monitoring without ongoing fees or complicated setup or a newbie.

Easy set up, good set of features and all stored locally

£200 at time of review C35 4Cam KitI have a Eufy SoloCam E42 with a HomeBase S380 that I’ve been using the past few months and I really like. It’s not perfect but in general it’s pretty good and has been running flawlessly for about 3 months now. So I got this to set up at my fathers home, as his current system is getting a bit long in the tooth and I was looking to upgrade it and was looking at getting another Eufy system, as I like having my own base station to store my footage and not needing a subscription… although Eufy do offer subscriptions for advanced features etc, but you don’t need one to get up and running and it’s likely the non-subscription offering covers all your needs. What’s great about these is how small they are and how simple they are to set up. The cameras in my own system are much bigger, yes they are 4K, they can pan tilt and zoom, and even have solar panels, and as they sit outside that’s fine, but I was looking for something that I could use outside and indoors, and these cameras are small enough to be used indoors without being an eyesore, plus as they have magnetic holders, you can even detect them and move them around easily, which depending on your needs could be very usefulI’ve set up Eufy cameras before, and I as I mentioned in my review for my own ones, the set up of these is the easiest I’ve ever come across, the manuals, the apps & software are so well designed and thought through, you should be up and running in minutes. (You can get further details about the set up process with that review that I won’t repeat here)https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/customer-reviews/RGIBER34KQ8GX/ref=cm_cr_getr_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8Image quality is good, although it’s only FHD @1080p, which TBH is a bit disappointing nowadays, as the bear minimum is usually 2.5K, yet it’s still good enough for capturing the coming and going’s and keeping a log of activity. There’s no two way communication feature, so you can talk with a courier etc at your door (although that’s not something I’ve ever used with any of my own security cameras in the years that I’ve had them and had the feature)If you’re looking for an easy to set up camera system that stores all your footage locally, has a well designed app, basic AI and facial recognition, notifications etc all without a subscription, then I can honestly recommend this or any other Eufy system if you’re considering them, it really does just workHope my review was helpful

Brilliant security cameras.

This EufyCam C35 is a wireless security camera and is ideal for home or yard security. The camera supports video recording in 2K resolution. It has night vision, but unlike some of the others on the market that need spotlights to record at night, the C35 uses PureColor Vision TM to record full colour video at night – without the need for extra light. So you can record in full colour instead of glowing grayscale silhouettes. The camera has a built-in microphone and speaker for two-way audio communication. The 1080p resolution camera comes with an f/1.2 aperture and 1/2.9″ CMOS sensor and offers a 130 degree field of view.Smart AI motion detection means you’ll be able to identify and detect people, pets and vehicles and set key zones to get personalised notifications. The whole system is wireless and can be used indoors or outdoors. It works without a subscription, instead storing data locally on internal storage or through the included Eufy HomeBase hub using micro sd cards(not included).Using the Eufy Security mobile app, you can view live video, receive notifications, and manage camera settings. We have the four camera set with the storage hub included, this set up is very good and for under £200 it’s excellent value for money.

Excellent camera kit with sharp image quality and no subscription fuss

I wanted a security system that didn’t rely on monthly fees or cloud plans, and this one really delivers. The setup was straightforward — the cameras paired quickly with the base unit, and the magnetic mounts made positioning ridiculously easy. It’s one of those rare setups that actually works right out of the box without hours of faffing about. The image quality is brilliant, both day and night. The colour night vision is surprisingly clear — you can actually tell what you’re looking at rather than just seeing blurry shadows. Motion detection has been reliable too, and the app notifications come through quickly enough to be useful rather than an afterthought.Battery life has been strong so far, even with fairly regular recording, and I really like that it supports a solar panel option. Saves constantly taking them down for charging, especially for cameras mounted higher up.The build quality feels sturdy and weatherproof. We’ve had a few downpours recently and they’ve kept working perfectly fine, so the IP67 rating seems justified. If I had one minor gripe, it’s that the magnetic mounts are great for flexibility but could be a bit more secure for easily reachable spots — someone determined could remove them. I’ve added a couple of screw mounts for the lower cameras, just to be safe.Overall though, this kit feels solid, reliable, and well worth the price. The fact it records locally without any subscription nonsense makes it even better value. It’s definitely made me feel more at ease around the house.

Clear image quality, simple setup and no ongoing costs

The kit comes with everything you need, including screws and wall plugs. I must admit I struggled to work out how the cameras connect to the mounts, which seemed strangely awkward, so I was grateful to find the setup guide video here on the sales page. It turn out they just need a good push to fit in place, rather than trying to screw them in.It takes about 8 hours to fully charge the cameras via USB-C, but the set up process linking to the wi-fi is fairly straightforward using the Eufy security app, which I downloaded from the iOS App Store. It has a range of options, including the clever stuff like human recognition. Each camera feels solid and weather-resistant, and once connected to the HomeBase Mini, everything runs through the app quite smoothly. I find that having four cameras provides a lot of flexibility over placement, whether indoors or out, but also allows to have one on standby fully charged to swap out at any time. The picture quality is excellent in daylight and remarkably good at night. The colour night vision works well and avoids the harsh, spotlight look some cameras have. Local recording means there are no monthly subscription fees, which is very welcome these days, and the microSD slot gives the option to expand storage later.Notifications arrive quickly, and the AI detection generally does a good job distinguishing people and vehicles. It’s not flawless and occasionally a passing cat sets it off, but I have found the same with other cameras and overall it feels reliable. Battery life seems reasonable so far, though heavy use or frequent motion triggers will drain it faster. The C35 kit offers solid image quality, flexible mounting, and good software integration. It’s a smart choice if you want a capable, subscription-free security setup that’s easy to manage from your phone. I haven't had any wi-fi connectivity dropouts so far.

Fantastic little system

This is a great multi cam system that can be easily fitted and once you've used the ethernet to connect everything up, you can set it to WIFI and unplug everything, which is a must have in a house where everything seems to need to connect to the router via a cable. It saved me buying an ethernet switch, which I'm grateful for.The cameras are fairly unobtrusive and look nice, and the homebase mini is nice and compact. You can add memory cards to the cameras as well the homebase so can expand the memory of the system up to 1tb.The 8gb built in should do me, which is a bonus. The app is ok to use, fairly straightforward and talks you through set up etc clearly, step by step.Picture and audio quality is great, yet there is a few seconds delay in transmission so this should be taken into account security wise. The mounting brackets are great, they can either be placed using the extra strong magnets or screwed into place with a mounting plate. Everything you need (apart from tools) comes supplied.Really impressive, compact four camera security set up that is truly wireless apart from the power cable for the homebase.

eufyCam C35: Excellent all round package.

This is a review for eufy SecurityCam C35.First of all, these cameras look great. Very nice styling and will look the part in a stylish modern home. The system provides a high standard of monitoring features. Installation and set up is straightforward and everything works through a well- designed app.The first thing you need to do to get the system up and running is install the 1TB Base Station. You attach the Base Station (via the app) to the router with the supplied network cable. You can probably do this via WIFI but, I think using a network cable will ensure the system operates at the best performance possible. The Base Station is small and compliments the system. It won't take up too much space on your shelf. After that, it's a case of one by one, using the app, to add each camera. It's a simple process: press '+' on the app, select your model of camera, follow the instructions. The app will also do any updates during the installation. This process worked flawlessly.Next, you can move onto placing your cameras where you want them. I have two inside my home and two outside (front and back). Both outside cameras have a solid connection to the Base Station but I wouldn't expect them to work too far away from your router. You can install the cameras on the mounting brackets (screws included) or you might want to just have them propped up on a shelf (if inside). One of my cameras that I use inside, I've named it 'nomad camera' as I can move it around. An added bonus is the mounts are magnetic, so, you can stick them onto any magnetic surface.Once you complete the installation, you'll need to configure the app otherwise, you might end up with endless notifications if you are on a main road, for example. This is straightforward and there are a number of different features you can play with (such as getting the app to recognise family members). It's important to note, these cameras record 'events'. So, they aren't permenantly recording (the battery would run out very quickly otherwise). You can live stream continuously on your phone or Alexa Show / (you might also be able to on your Amazon Fire Stick- worth checking).Picture quality is excellent and you can have sound as well. The only issue I have noted is that there is a slight delay of about 1 second between a person speaking and the system picking up the sound. I know this could be down to my broadband, but as I have a 1GIG line, I don't think so. I would imagine, eufy will keep trying to bring this slight delay down to nothing through a future update (you can set the system to update automatically).I already have a eufy doorbell, so I'm comfortable with the ecosystem I now have.Alexa works very well with the cameras. If you have already enabled the eufy Alexa Skill in the Alexa app as you add and rename each camera (renaming definitely recommended), each will be added to your Alexa Show. Then, you just as Alexa to 'show me the front yard' etc...Recommended: Ease of installation; ease of use and great looks!

Cost effective

I have finally ditched a subscription CCTV for this. It's a 4 camera setup with a hub. You download the app which was easy to install.Smart, compact small cameras. These have a built in battery which you need to charge fully before installing. A cable is supplied but you need a standard usb charger. It's quoted that the battery will last 6 months between charges but clearly that's dependant on how many times it's triggered and how often you view it.In order to have it record you have to supply a memory card, so that's an extra cost.Physical installation is simple. Screw a faceplate onto a wall, plugs and screws provided, and then attach the camera. Have to say the screws are long. Once installed the faceplate is going nowhere. There is a hub which you need to connect to your router with an ethernet cable provided. The app is comprehensive. But take your time to get your head round it. And instructions do not help. In fact that's a critism. Minimal instructions. One big tip. Connect the cameras to the hub provided, but also connect to your home WiFi. I have a mesh system and by using your home wifi can greatly increase the distance you can place your cameras. The quality of the image is good. However this is where there is a bit of compromise. There are better camera image quality on the market, but there again not at this price. Also, I think the cameras are a bit too wide angle. This is a comprehensive 4 camera system that performed well with one of two compromises to keep the price point down. I really would like to give the full star rating but have to take into account the things which I have pointed out. Keep a lookout for offers.
