Surprisingly, this is way better than I expected. The HUB serves as data center and stores the videos, you can download the videos from the app which has encryption activated. The camera can be set to follow movement and has face recognition function. It can observe up to 4 positions with AI functionality and all of this has no SUBSCRIPTION service. 10/10.
Yes, the HUB could have a bit more memory but in general I am very pleased with this purchase.

Absolutely brilliant and well worth the money. Thoroughly recommended.
A totally different picture compared to our old Cameras. They are so much easier to install and set up. Thank you Eufy!!
Very easy to set up and connect. The cameras are first class, clear pictures and fully automatic. They upload to the base station which is also very easy to use.The app covers all and adding more devices to the homebase is easy.I added a 2T solid state hard drive which I got the home base to format and was very easy to fit.I have 3 cameras and a door bell all saving to the home base which it copes with admirably all easily accessible with the app.
Works very well. Needed a bit if help setting up but quality of product is very good. If you have a teenager in the household it should not be a problem
Relatively easy to set up initially. I fine tuned the settings over the first 2 days and have to admit it's doing exactly what I wanted it to do and with 4k it's crystal clear.
My first time trying Eufy cameras. Despatch was very speedy. The kit itself is excellent and very easy to set up. I am so impressed, I've bought another 4 cameras, since. .
All good great features, well happy and already purchased 4 more for my brother's house.
Very easy to install
I love it, very clear, easy setup. Great picture quality and sound.I have no complain. It's exactly what I needed.
These are absolutely fantastic. Easy set up and so many features. Highly recommended.
Great quality video, easy to install, a very easy to use app. It does exactly as I hoped it would. Would definitely recommend.
Picture quality is ok. Bit of a struggle to set them up with the Homebase as can’t connect it to the garage it’s too far away. My old Ring camera worked better at the same distance. Can’t seem to connect them to my WiFi extender. I bought the solar ones so the battery life I can’t comment on yet.
Having installed and used this eufy Security SoloCam E42 2-Cam and S380 Homebase kit for weeks now I cannot but express how impressed I am with every aspect of this Eufy ecosystem. Starting with the build quality, the cameras are really very well-made. The 2 cameras have an impressive build quality and are made to withstand heavy weather conditions. Above the cams a solar panel can be easily installed. I wish the cable management system was made better but it's not a major issue at all. The panning and tilting feel very smooth and this is a good sign as tilting mechanisms tend to be a major source of issues in tech products.Installation was very smooth. The camera can be installed easily, either directly or using a mount that makes it extend or hang a bit further from the wall.Once unpacked and prepared for installation, it was very easy to connect the cameras to the home base. The HomeBase is the best thing about the camera as it allows for 24/7 recording and storing content. It can be expanded easily in terms of volume, up to 16TB, which is way above my needs. Obviously the storage is 16GB and an external storage drive is needed to expand the initial size. What makes this ecosystem perfect in terms of functionality is how everything communicates with the home base seamlessly. I also installed a Eufy doorbell and added it to the ecosystem easily. In terms of picture quality, these cameras deliver excellent resolution. At 4K they are very good at capturing small details. Compared to my previous system, I can now see the car plates of nearby cars in the street with ease. The resolution does add to my sense of safety and security. The night quality is equally good and something that Eufy managed to nail perfectly. The main and biggest upside of this camera system is the fact that it is subscription free. As the storage is hosted via the home base this means no subscription is needed to access the stored content. All in all, an amazing piece of tech.
Ive heard of Eufy, but never entered their ecosystem before and I'm so glad Im in it now! The picture quality is excellent, very clear with plenty of detail and surprisingly great at night too. You can make out details like faces and car number plates instead of just fuzzy vague outlines. The motion tracking is fab too, it follows the movement slowly without a big delay so it can follow your subject as they move around the garden.Set up wasn't too bad, the app pretty much walks you through everything as you go and does it for you. Connecting the cameras to Homebase pod was almost instant too. The solar power panels seem to do a great job at keeping the battery topped up too, I haven't had to manually charge the cameras yet which is useful. Ive got them on the corners of my house as im end terrace, so they can monitor the front and back incase anyone was to pass through ive got 360 coverage of them. The corner doesn't get a lot of sunlight, so during winter months im expecting to need to charge these more frequently.I haven't seen it in motion yet, but the strobe light and siren built into the lights is a great deterrent for burglars. There's facial detection too which works okay, it knows when im approaching my house and can tell whether it's me or not on the cameras. The only downside of this would be the app has a small delay with notifications getting to your phone.. im assuming it's because it has to go from the camera, to the HomePod, to my phone. Its not major but i think its something eufy should work on in an update.Overall, really pleased with these and would 100% recommend!
Brilliant cameras so easy to set up and fit.Great quality and the picture quality is outstanding would highly recommend these camera's. Also paired with the homebase adds so much more features.I'm really pleased with these and the solar panel works really well even in low light conditions. I also like the AI tracking aswell follows so well.
Easy to set up great image and video quality.Received promptly and well packaged.Quality of the video is an upgrade from my previous model.Home base was 16GB but easy to updated up to 16TB which was pretty easy to do.Battery life ive used for 24 hours only but with built in solar I'm expecting it to last longer than few months before recharging.
Fantastic item. Bought this as an Amazon deal so saved money too. One camera fitted easily direct to a corner of a soffit board of my house and gives full visibility to the front . The second camera needed to be mounted close to a gutter downpipe hence it does obscure visibility a little but the problem is minimised by a bracket that moves the camera away from the soffit by 15 cms which minimises the obstruction.I like the way this uses IR to recognise people, pets or car motion so these can be tailored to your needs regarding what you want to be recorded. This replaced an aging Eufy set up that worked superbly but I took the opportunity to upgrade and modernise. My only little niggle is the plastic brackets that hold the cameras is very flimsy and doesn't make a positive connection to them. I find myself attaching them and then checking several times to make sure they don't pull off easy! Also, you will need to extend the memory of the base unit as it only has 16gb which won't last long with 4k video capture. The upside to that is that a 2.5 inch SATA hard drive will fit within the base unit itself 1TB for around £35.A well recommended purchase especially as once it's fitted correctly, it will work with minor maintenance to clean etc.
I bought this packet as a promotional offer at a good price. I already own a HomeBase S380, which works perfectly. The Solocam E42 delivers good video quality both during the day and at night. I couldn’t connect it to Wi-Fi on the 2.4GHz band, but fortunately, I had a second HomeBase S380, which allowed me to connect it to my network.
This eufy 4K solar-powered camera kit offers incredible clarity and features like AI motion tracking with pan & tilt. Facial recognition and vast local storage make it a truly comprehensive wireless system.
I’m absolutely thrilled with my eufy SoloCam E42 kit.The 4K picture quality is phenomenal day and night, the video is crisp and detailed. The solar power is a total game changer; I installed them and haven't had to touch them since they stay charged! The camera is super smart and easy to use. The AI Motion Tracking works perfectly, letting the camera Pan & Tilt to follow anyone, and the Facial Recognition prevents me from getting alerts for family members. My favorite part is the HomeBase S380. It gives me huge, private local storage up to 16 TB, meaning no monthly fees. For deterrence, the strobe light is aggressive and effective. It's the best security system I've owned: high-end features, incredible clarity, and zero subscriptions. Highly recommended.
What a fantastic piece of kit this is. The highlight for me is that the setting up is genuinely easy-peasy. I was literally dreading having to get this up and running, it always seems to me that anything WIFI related needs to be set up at least 3 times before it works, not so with these cameras. I followed the instructions carefully and it just started to work. The app provides full remote control from anywhere with an internet connection which is going to be perfect for monitoring our aging cat when we are away. The cameras have an 8x zoom which doesn't result in a massive drop in clarity due to the video being proper 4k.Another feature that I am super pleased about is the local storage homebase that this set comes with. This means I don't have to sign up or subscribe to any services in order to store footage, it’s simply stored on the homebase at home. The system works fully straight out of the box but you can pay for cloud storage services if you like. The homebase comes with 16GB of built in storage but it can accept an additional 16TB of storage. Users can easily install this themselves; the base takes a standard 2.5inch SATA11 drive, it took me 5 minutes. Storage can also be upgraded by using a 128GB SD card which is not supplied. Other Eufy devices such as their doorbell can be used with the homebase.Range is very good; I have one at the bottom of the garden in the shed and it connects just fine without issue. The cameras can be easily dismounted from their brackets if charging is required although the solar panels should keep them going for most, of if not all of the year although the British winter can be dark at times.Up until now I had used 2 or 3 cameras from different companies to create a makeshift network of cameras to run while we were away from home. Now I have a really well l made, easy to use integrated system that causes me absolutely zero hassle. I can genuinely recommend this set up.
I ordered this on the assumption that this CCTV system was completely wireless but it is in fact not. The home base unit requires the unit to be permanently connected to your router in order to even use or set up.The cameras themselves are wireless but you still need the Homebase to link for saving data and setting up. However you can use them stand-alone without the Homebase and record from each camera or onto the SD ports on each one. They do not come with individual SD cards. Now whilst the location of the base unit may not be an issue for most people it certainly is for me. I'm with an ISP that has their router installed on the front wall of my property, it's very difficult to access the ports due to how they install their router, and also means I've had to use a power extension to accommodate it.I already use Eufy for my doorbell and know how the app works but setting up is slightly complicated compared to other units I use. When first setting up you need to connect permanently to the router and then it will establish a connection on your broadband. You then wait for the light to go red and in the Eufy app select the Homebase professional option. It will then ask you to scan the QR code but I had nothing but issues doing this. It would say incorrect and then the image would just lock on my camera. In the end I took a picture of the serial number and copied that text. When I manually inputted the text it kept saying it was wrong. Luckily copying directly from the image sorted this out.You then hold the sync button on the rear until it bleeps, this will then sync to the app. You need to accept or skip a few options here. It does allow you to set facial recognition on the system but I skipped this as I do not want this feature. The Homebase will then need updating. This took around ten mins, once it had updated I I assumed I just held sync on each camera and then it would link - it doesn't do this. You have to manually add each camera to the app and then select that you want to use the Homebase as the recording point. It will automatically sync the cameras to the WiFi you're on via your phone. Make sure you pick the best access point.I was located at the front of the house and the cameras have been installed in the back. I have a wireless access point at the back, as I was next to the front router my phone had connected to this and meant the cameras automatically picked the wrong SSID. This meant the distance was too far for smooth images and I had to start again and discard the front access points. Now what I'm very happy about is the fact I have been able to add my doorbell camera into the Homebase. This is effectively a harddrive storage base live a dvr, anything within Eufy can be synced to record here as long as it's on your WiFi.It doesn't support continuous recording and will only save a maximum of 60s for each event though and I found this to be annoying. I was hoping it would just rewrite and save loops like a dvr so don't expect that. There's a total of 11gig on the harddrive pre installed with around 10gb free in the Homebase and it can be extended. I've looked over the instructions but cannot see upto what capacity this can be changed, so unfortunately can't confirm that amount but you can add USB drivers into the rear if you don't want to change the harddrive. Now the cameras can be installed anywhere in direct sun as they come with a solar panel each. These also have a good amount of wire on them and allow you to put the panels further away if needs be.They can also be put directly onto mains power but this will require wiring. The cameras can each be charged with the included cable but you don't get power cables to have them permanently on.The solar option states it takes only two hours of power to completely charge the batteries in the cameras. I found this to be correct and as long as there's not a lot happening in front of the cameras they'll last all night off battery power. The image quality is 4k and excellent. It's crystal clear and also sharper than others I own or have used. The app allows you to pan the cameras with ease too and they also respond instantly. I love the fact there's audio on both, it's clear and there's also talkback functionality. You can also turn a spotlight on with each camera and this is super handy at scaring people off or illuminating areas at night.I'm giving it five because the cameras are great, the unit itself once set up correctly is great too. Just be aware in order to use the Homebase it does need permanent ethernet connection.

Good clear pictures.Can identify people
