I have been using the s1 pro breast pump and decided to upgrade to the s2 and i have now found my perfect breast pump. Loving this to heaven and back
I bought this pump after doing a lot of research and from ending my last pumping journey 2 years ago after getting severe mastitis.
The pump overall has been great for the last 2 weeks since I bought it, delivery was fast (was initially told 3-5 working days when it actually came the next day).
I use this as my main pump for twins and my supply is doing really good so far.
I really like the nipple light, heat setting and massage function and on the app you can import different pumping settings that people have made which is really good!
The only ‘con’ I have is that the charging case is advertised as lasting for around 5 days, my case lasts a day and I have to charge it each night! I am however, transporting my pumps in my case after each pump as my babies are still in NICU, if I was at home my pumps would be cleaned and left on the side etc.
Pump is worth every penny in my opinion and has been great so far!
I originally use the spectra s1 pro and the Medela freestyle, I wanted to try and more smart and portable and comfortable option,
I saw the reviews and all the additional features and thought why not?
Pros:
Very comfortable
Good heating and massage settings
Love the charging case
The night light is fab
The app is good
Bent over and leak protection is good
Very discreet
Cons:
It damaged my breast tissue.
I had a great supply and has now damaged my breast tissue going from 5oz on my right side to barely 1oz.
I had on the lowest suction settings and flange insert was correct but after every session my right side felt super sore and tender.
I’ve had to go back to my spectra which isn’t causing any discomfort at all.
I find my milk supply on my spectra is better.
35% more milk? No this is not true
I find it sad as I really wanted to love it but also for the price I can’t help but feel disappointed.
I’m now topping my baby up with formula due to low supply and trying to rebuild my supply back up on that side :(
